Assistant Manager, Event & Product Development (Event Partnership, 2-year Contract)

Location: Hong Kong

HOW YOU WILL CONTRIBUTE AND LEARN?

  • Assist in identifying potential event marketing co-op opportunities or partners which are related to Arts and Culture, cultivating relationships with new partners parties (service providers / event organizers / facilities owners etc.) and managing relationships with existing partners to ensure mutual success and satisfaction. 
  • Assist the Director & Senior Manager, EPD, to formulate promotion strategy of tourism products in related to Arts and Culture (e.g. arts and culture venues, temples and heritage sites etc.) and third-party events promotion strategy in line with the HKTB’s direction.
  • Develop, organise and co-ordinate Arts & Culture campaigns (e.g. Mid Autumn Festival Campaign) and other related / ad hoc marketing campaigns to maximise awareness of arts and culture events and tourism products.
  • Manage budgets and analyse performance of supported events by marketing enhancement, tourism appeal and entitlement to measure the success of partnership initiatives and city events facilitation.
  • Facilitate enhancement, including repackaging and bundling of existing heritage sites and third-party events; and arranging marketing collaboration with event organisers.
  • Facilitate external parties and internal departments e.g. Corporate Affairs Division and Marketing Division on the promotion of tourism products and events. 
  • Monitor and keep abreast of the latest progress of tourism related developments and update different functional teams in a timely manner in preparation of the overall strategic planning. 
  • Prepare write up for events and coordinate with internal departments on production of event collaterals.
  • Handle enquiries and/or complaints in a professional and efficient manner.
  • Manage HKTB databases and website to provide effective and efficient channels to promote products and events.
  • Undertake any other duties / special assignments as directed by the Director and Senior Manager.
     

WHO ARE WE LOOKING FOR?

  • University graduate, preferably in tourism management / event marketing & promotion.
  • 5 years or above relevant working experiences in attractions marketing / events marketing / event-related operations / public relations account servicing is preferred.
  • Experiences in arts, culture and heritage tourism is an advantage.
  • Self-starter with good presentation, communication and organisation skills.
  • Strategic thinking and planning skills.
  • Able to work independently, handle multi-tasks and set priorities.
  • Proficiency in both spoken and written English and Chinese, Putonghau is an advantage.
  • Proficiency in PC applications – MS Office, Chinese Word Processing.
