Yung Shue Wan Main Street

Although it’s just half an hour from Hong Kong’s hectic heart, you’d be forgiven for thinking that the gods have hit the slo-mo button when you step off the ferry and onto Yung Shue Wan Main Street; a narrow but lively thoroughfare on Lamma Island.

The relaxed pace of life here is complemented by a colourful, cultural diversity. This is most evident in the business going on along the main street, which is lined with shops selling handicrafts from Southeast Asia as well as a mixture of Eastern and Western eateries.

Browse around, grab a tasty treat, or have a glass of wine – but whatever you do, take your time!
