Get-to-know Mulan

Mulan is a legendary figure originally described in the classic Chinese poem, The Ballad of Mulan. A peasant girl, she disguises herself as a man to join the army in place of her aged father. Over time, the story of Mulan has risen in popularity to a folktale. The Hong Kong Dance Company has adapted this well-known story providing young audiences with a new experience of Chinese literature and culture through Chinese dance.
