Hong Kong Chinese New Year

Ring in the Year of the Rat at the 25th anniversary of our home-grown street parade celebrating Chinese New Year. Our Silver Jubilee will see West Kowloon Cultural District Art Park transformed into a four-day fun-filled carnival with dazzling performances that will go through 24 years of Chinese New Year parades.

And the fun doesn’t stop there. You will find all-day programmes presented by about 50 groups of local and international performers, including globally-acclaimed troupes and world-record holders, giant Insta-worthy installations, a workshop on balloon twisting — or even face painting — and, of course, plenty of festive food to satiate your appetite.

The rat is the first of the zodiac animals and symbolises intelligence and strong vitality in Chinese culture. Carnival guests are set to discover a remarkable Chinese New Year, come join us with festive energy and blessings for good health and good luck!
