Hong Kong Arts Centre has been promoting contemporary arts and culture in Hong Kong and abroad since it was founded in 1977. The self-financing organisation is one of the most respected arts institutions in the city. Its facilities include a digital 3D-equipped cinema, theatres, galleries, classrooms, studios, a restaurant, a café as well as offices occupied by local and international arts and culture organisations. Be sure to visit its Pao Galleries, which houses year-round, world-class exhibitions of arts and crafts.
As the education arm of Hong Kong Arts Centre, Hong Kong Arts School also offers academic-level programmes, short courses and outreach projects. Every weekend from September to November this year, the centre will host Hong Kong Art-in-Motion — a free circular coach service connecting art and cultural hotspots, spaces and programmes with art lovers. Passengers are welcome to hop on and off at designated stations along the route and take part in tours with art ambassadors. Click here for more details.
